About Kokoata:
Kokoata was intended for experienced role-players, but it's never too late to join in!! 0:

The systems built for this forum will (mostly) allow you do a variety of things on your own, without staff involvement. This helps minimize work-load on the Admin-team and lets them do more to help players instead of getting bound by 'paperwork'

Because of the given free-reign, it'll up to you as a player of the game to be respectful of the given rules & guidelines for all the parts and pieces of gameplay.

You'll have access to all of the 'How-to-do's on your own, such as:
. growing your garden with the passage of time
. interacting with, including taming & hunting, the local wildlife
. collecting a variety of resources
. (& if you so choose) meeting your Avatars Needs, lest your Avatar meets their End...
and more!

If the Admin team has come and remind you about following rules or see out-of-place items, you may be asked to look into other Roleplay forums to join- one that either has more available staff, more free-form play, or looser guidelines...There are many other, more relaxed Fantasy Text-RP sites to play in- seek them out!

The Start to The End:
Death is another gameplay variant of this forum; it won't be waiting to pounce around every corner, but it is a real possibility if you're trekking through some incredibly dangerous lands!

Good story telling will always get you going on an emotional-roller coaster; It can be very hard to go through with heavy emotional situations, like a character falling in a battle.

This game isn't the be-all-end-all; it's kept loose and open, giving you plenty of room to otherwise safe-guard your Avatars from their demise. If and when the 'final tole' strikes for your Avatar, you need to be emotionally mature enough to handle telling their story till the end, without taking it out on other players, the game, or the forum.

The Admin team is more than willing to be lenient with your characters possible passing, depending on what went down story-wise. This only goes so far! Brazenly running off naked to fight a dragon will not get you a free-pass to keeping their story going.

If potential demise (even only partial) is something you're uncomfortable with or unwilling to partake in, Most other RP forums will allow you to keep your characters indefinitely! Remember to Check-in with yourself regularly.

Outside life and You:
This forum, in its entirety, is a game- this was all built by a single person, and all for fun!!

Please don't use your friends, or other players in this game, as your emotional work-horse. This is not Anyone's job here.
Be aware that friends who offer a shoulder for you to lean/cry/shout into, are still human! You need to treat them with respect by not dousing them with emotional baggage with every opportunity you get.

There is no one alive today that would argue that life is really hard sometimes; We're all still here though, and we're here together!

Trolls and Griefers:
Griefers and trolls can be pretty common in and around RPG forums. Moderators have immediate access to the chat-box and threads, and can delete anything that's incredibly out-of-place and tormentive to other players.

IP Address' can be blocked, after-which they shouldn't have any access to the forum as a whole afterwards.

If and when griefers & trolls show up, simply ignore their posts. Do not Debate, Reason, or otherwise engage with them! They're looking to get attention, whether that's getting a rise out of people, to agitate, upset, or anger; simply by-pass their posts, comments or other engagement, and get in contact with the Admin team!

Law & Crime:
Avatars may commit a crime or break the law with consent between interacting players, and following the proper guidelines.

Committing a crime within an RP (either for fun or plot-building) is completely different than attempting to break the guidelines of the forum! Breaking the rules of the forum will get you banned from the site & all of its goodies!

'Bad-guys' are inherent in almost every modern-day story you see or hear about, and the best antagonist are the ones you come to understand as to why they do as they do. Building up a bad-guy can be just as fun as building up a protagonist, and fulfills a stories need to hurt/grieve/anguish through a character.

Different crimes have different costs, outcomes, benefits, and consequences, from impacting your Avatars' moral to spending time in a jailhouse

Different playable species have different customs when it comes to devoting your life to another; How an individual may propose is personal!

An Avatar may be 'promised' to an arranged marriage, when they reach maturity!

Proboards is a PG-13 company and does not allow for any writing that treads higher than a good kiss!
Intercourse content will have to be under-wraps, & kept offsite; Archive of our Own allows such original works!
