Official Shops________________________________________________________________
Shops offered within a settlement, are ones either deemed necessary by the folk who live there, or have been given funds by the public for their creation & upkeep. The larger a city (
and the more donations offered by townsfolk), the more shops are made available!
Depending on where you are in the world, 'main' shops will offer common resources, such as culturally-focused food, clothing, tools, and other items.

Shop-keepers:The ones keeping stock and taking charge of official shops, and are playable
NPCs.
When making a thread/post for buying in the Marketplace, you don't need to write about the shopkeeper if you don't want to! A general idea of the mood, the setting and how your Avatar goes about choosing their purchase is more than enough for your post.
If you'd like to include the shop-keepers' in your roleplay, be aware of the shop-keepers' personality, and keep to their realms of reality; A friendly, happily married, monogamous person isn't going to be making slanderous remarks nor serious marriage proposals to your Avatar, any time soon.
You may
request a Mod. come in to roleplay a shop-keeper interaction if you want an outside-of-your-own-headspace interaction, though keep in mind that staff are ordinarily Very busy! Be prepared to be patient and wait, it can take upwards of a few, real-world days to get a response.
If anyone's written ideas or interactions are particularly eye-catching or noteworthy, you may see details about the interaction crop up on a shop-keepers profile page... keep your eyes out! (
This can be good, or bad...)
