Gardens & Plots
_____________________________________________
Areas for growing your own plants, & potentially keeping smaller pets or companions! Different areas can have different rules, regarding who, what, and where can grow...
_____________________________________________
Guidelines:
. all plants grow via passage of time
. soil-grade, items and skills will impact plants
-
[example]
-
Growing Plants:
All plants take time to grow- some take longer than others...
Gardens and Plots can only sustain native plants- you can only grow Gallan vegetation, within Gallan settlements.
If you have a Home, Cabin, or Greenhouse, you can try growing a far wider variety of plants from other places in the world- provided you have the right equipment!
-
Soil-Grade:
Many places around the world can have better, or worse, soil for growing; the grade of the soil, determines the quality of your harvest, from negative '-' to positive '+'
-
Items:
The equipment to help your grow! There are Gardening tools which can improve (or dampen) your soil-grade, and items such as pots and indoor-lighting if you wanted to grow some plants indoors!
You may use multiple items, such as both a hoe and a spade, but each item can only apply itself once per harvest; you cannot use a hoe three-times in one post, to get three-times the result.
After your plants are harvested, the soil-grade returns to its neutral state, and you will need to use the items again to impact its grade.
-
Skills:
Certain skills can help with your gardening experience!
Some examples include cutting down growth-time, Increasing quality, and Increasing quantity of your harvests.
-
Seeds & Saplings:
They can be gathered from the wild-areas, bought from the store and trading caravans, or found through excavating ruins or old chests and letters.
Take them to your space (whether that's a Garden, Plot, or Indoor Pot) & look into the Encyclopedia to see what sorts of requirements are needed for the plant to grow!
