Avatars [FAQ]

Q: I purchased a Crest to create 'Bob' but now I'm tired of him and want to change him into 'Sally' instead; can I alter the character using the same crest?

A: You can change a character any-which-way right up until they're moved to the Approved board. Once a character is Approved, they're apart of the game!

There are a variety of methods wherein through Roleplay, your Crested Avatar can go on a journey to change their appearances, species, gender, name, and anything else!

Q: Can we play other sentients species, more than what're listed under species?

A: The available Avatar species are the sentients who've built up their settlements into thriving collectives, aware of one-anothers' growth in the world.

There may be yet a few unseen sentient species that, with the right moves on your part as the player, could allow one of these beings to become apart of your Avatar squad! How you find them and how you acquire Avatars for playing, is up to you to find out...

There are also a variety of methods in the world that can potentially change your Avatars' physical form into another!

Q: Do we need to create whole characters for our Avatars past? Such as parents, siblings, etc.

A: Nope! You are welcome to write as much or as little history as you like regarding your Avatars past and their friends, family, and past accomplices. If you do want to include supporting/background characters, you can even fill out entire Avatar forms if you'd like!
These past-characters cannot be roleplayed within 'the present', unless they take up one of your Avatar Slots.

Q: Does an Avatar need to follow the species culture to a 'T'?

A: There are a variety of ways people live their lives, good and bad. The offered info for each species is an average way-of-life for a member. Your Avatar could have been taken in by an adoptive family, raised in a different environment entirely, or they could've even come from far-off lands, or have otherwise arrived by some outlandish means!

Q: Can my Avatar have a mixed lineage from different species?

A: In a way! For now, mixed lineages only exist through having a Human parent, and the resulting offspring are automatically classified as Hymun. Your hybrid Avatar will need to follow the Hymun species guidelines!
