The people who help make Kokoata go round!

Be sure you're reaching out to the right individual when approaching with questions and concerns; A staff member whose sole job is to verify marketplace-purchases, won't have the off-hand knowledge available to help with a wilderness-combat problem.

Because there are a number of things that Staff can be involved with in regards to managing the site and its activities, Staff members tend to be on the busy-side. It can take a full day or two before getting a response.

. you can always reach out to any long-term player in the Discord!
. you can always make a Query
. Staff are Very Busy and don't work every single day... give them 7 days before trying to reach out about a particular topic again!

Folk & NPC

Folk, Non-player Characters or NPC, are Avatars' that fill out the world around the players, taking on the roles of market-place shop-keepers, council members, guards, ne'er-do-wells, caravan traders and more!

Folk are each their own character!! Check out their individual Avatar Page to learn about an individual if you want to include them in your writing.

Guidelines:
. always read & follow an NPCs Avatar page
. NPCs can change over time; keep an eye out for notes on their pages!
. you may write a shopkeeper as 'grouchy' in your thread, while someone writes them as 'pleasant' in theirs!
. intense or dramatic situations including relationships, combat, or crime, needs to be run past staff first

Random Events

These can anything and everything, from finding a common object to stumbling into an undiscovered ancient ruin!

Guidelines:
. these can happen anywhere, at any time!
. your RP will get a reply from an NPC account
. be sure to mark down any gained items in your journal & add it to your inventory!
. you can choose to ignore/bypass the random event- you don't need to pick up that stick that fell on your head
. directed to a new area? let the library know to have it added to the nearest sign-post
. you can choose to Opt-out

Items:
Very Common
Ranges from sticks & stones, to rare geodes and archaic weapons! A dash of flavor text will be offered in relation to your RP. You may choose to interact/keep the offered event in your writing, or bypass it completely!

Tasks:
Common
The folks who fill up the world at large, may have a task for you! They'll ask for something, and offer something in return. Its' up to the player to accept or decline the offer. There (generally) aren't any consequences for accepting and/or declining a persons earnest request!

Maps:
Un-common
Find a map that can lead to any variety of locations; from a buried pocket of treasure to a lovers chest, some may even lead to a whole new world!
All maps are 'coded', and any directions (see: 9)) will be sent through PM; head to the library and let them know to get a new place added to the trails!

Quests:
Rare
Gain the attention of a Master, Monk, Teacher, or other skilled-master that ask you for your help in an either arduous, dangerous, or complex task. These are offered only by those who've met and left an impression i.e. if your Avatar met & spoke with a Head of a Guild-house a few times.

New Species:
?
This only happens when a new animal / creature / beast has been designed, and is ready to be released for interaction/gameplay. You're not guaranteed ownership; you may attempt to tame / hunt it, as you would any other encyclopedic beast. The being will be listed alongside the other species in the encyclopedia.
