The [History] of Humans

Originally a race of masters and slaves, the original settling humans came from far-off lands some generations ago. Old wives tales say that the very first step on Kokoatas' fresh soil, was one covered in blood; an uprising had taken place just offshore, with their given vessel a sight of devastation to behold, burning behind the ones who made it to shore.

Out were the old masters, while those who had only ever known of labor, found new freedom! No chains on their legs, meaningless brands on their skin, and a new world to claim as their own.

Coming up from the Ocean, the original 300 found the Jungle to be a master of danger and demise. After loss and after loss took its toll, with entire families lost to the strange, at sometimes monstrous wildlife, they continued on as far north as they could. Eventually they crossed the boundaries into Gallan territory, making note of the well-marked trails already carved into the land. With exhaustive supplies and heavy losses, they say it was a day and a night following one well-traveled trail before the dwindling group chanced upon a pair of Gato traders; they had carried with them common goods- rice, meat and even thread, and were gracious with their offerings to the haggard people. Each individual was well-met, and the Gato became Humanities first friends and fast trading partners.

Building their settlement from the ground up with the help of the Gato, Humans became hired-help for their friends' who would be traversing alone, along the risque trails that would dip into the Jungles terrain and touch the known-aggressor Aedrachs territory, helping to get through more dangerous situations. Over time it became a long standing tradition of close-knit friends to form an eventual travelling group, treading the dangerous waters of the jungle and bringing back untold riches in the form of rare plants, strange items, and even outlandish animals, pets, and other creatures.

Humans eventually began spreading beyond their original settlements' and into nearby wilderness; domesticating the wilds while decorating hills with their deities and carving faithful images into cliff-sides. They built uninhabited temples where few would travel, and sculpted stone in likeness of their gods. The artistic devotion spread further down south, even crossing into the Jungles, where daring pilgrims and those with worth-to-prove, would seek the perfect place to place their creative works. It wasn't long until Adventuring parties were approached by emissary of the Ae'drachen society, with a proposal around ceasing aggressive interactions between the sentient races. (It is never spoken outright, but there are boastful whispers in the broad daylight of Human society, swearing up and down, that it was because of the carved statues of dietes, face of the Humans' Gods, that lead to the Aedrachen stepping up to open up communications)

Fulfilling the new peace-treaty, Human and Gato were able to travel farther than before into the depths of the jungles; with the help of the Aedrachen and their resources. After years of labor and work, the longest trail to be had was eventually laid, leading from the great Evolhiems' River to the very edge of the continent; Humans regained their connection to the ocean, and as they became reacquainted with the deep waters of their 'birth', a new sentient came forward.

The Hoi offered a hesitant meeting with Humans. Skinny offerings and clipped responses, brothers & sisters of their kind had been hunted by the friends-of, and Humans, themselves. The friendly manner between Hoi and Human was cold at best, with only a sliver of conversation available.

Some Faith-bound and religious peoples tend to favor the idea of soulful 'blood eaters'; the idea wherein the blood brought with the original settlers, who'd stumbled upon the beaches with their masters life on their feet, had awakened a hunger within the race as a whole, reasoning as to why members of their race would take apart in distasteful acts of poaching, enslavement, and trafficking. The stories eventually reached Hoi ears, and while they came to accept this as a form of penance, communications between the races is still dicey...

As of today, the Grand City Thera is the metropolis of Humanity; they've since opened their doors to the rest of the worlds' races, looking to further their (rather sore) relations with other races. Within the city, they're often set-up within the Bazaar to sell crafts or resources from trades, while others have settled into roles as Farmers, Ranchers, and City Employees (ex. running festivals)

Inventors and crafters by nature, most resources collected are things that can be used to create items, tools, and a variety of handmade crafts! Their eye for common resource often means someone out there is looking to trade, buy or sell!

. the collecting must take place during the RP; after your Avatar leaves an RP, your post-count 'resets' back to 0
. you cannot return to a thread at a later date to pick up any missed items!
. post count will stack- if you hit 50 posts, you can still pick up the usual 10-post item as well!
